Campus Map Gallery

The GIS Map Gallery is provided as an information service to the UA Campus Community. The maps are for informational purposes only and thus no guarantees are made as to the accuracy or currency of the data. The maps are updated on a periodic basis as appropriate. Interactive GIS Maps

Interactive maps allow interactive functions such as zoom and link to data associated with map features, along with printing. Sites are provided on both the UA Campus and in the Tucson region.

GIS Basemaps

Basemaps depict the land surface of the campus, divided into a number of legend categories such as buildings, streets, and parking lots. These are used for general purpose navigation and as a base for drawing other features. The maps may be viewed, printed, and downloaded in several formats. Source GIS data layers (some of which are also stored in CADD format) are available by contacting PDC-Planning.

Thematic GIS Maps

Thematic maps highlight a specific type of feature or category of features overtop of a basemap. A range of samples are provided, from special-purposes analyses to the location of emergency phones. The maps may be viewed, printed, and downloaded in several formats. Some of the source GIS data layers are available by contacting PDC-Planning.

GIS Data Layers

Data layers are the building blocks of maps that get overlaid to create a map composition. This information is proivded as a visual guide to the Campus GIS Database. Links are provided to metadata and sources for obtaining the data. The maps may be viewed, printed, and downloaded in several formats.


Digital OrthoPhotos

Digital orthophotos are aerial photos which have been adjusted so as to spatially accurate, allowing for measurements and overlay with other GIS data. The maps may be viewed, printed, and downloaded in several formats. Some of the source orthophotos are available by contacting PDC-Planning.
