Sustainability Planning
Building on past project innovations, planning for campus sustainability has been a University goal beginning in the 2003 Comprehensive Campus Plan, and has more recently become a larger institutional priority with actions such as formation of a Campus Sustainability Committee and a committment to a minimum of LEED silver certification for new buildings.
CFP plays a key role in identifiying, initiating, and demonstrating sustainability goals and actions for campus.
A number of resources exist on campus for sustainability:
Much of the "on the ground" work on sustainability on campus occurs within UA Business Affairs.
A good source for current information on campus sustainabiltiy is the UA Campus Sustainability Website
Overall guidance and policy for sustainability within our development practices can be found within the Comprehensive Campus Plan.
Information on sustainabilty efforts related to transportation on campus may be found in this presentation prepared by Parking and Transportation Services.
For information on LEED certification of projects and green elements of specific construction projects, see the Facilities Design and Construction Website
